New businesses get a 14-day Professional trial with no card. After a trial or expiry (plus 7 days grace) you fall back to Free; nothing you already have is locked or deleted. Payment is a one-time yearly or monthly purchase through Razorpay, not an auto-renewing mandate. Prices are in Indian rupees; GST on the subscription is added where applicable.
